In Indonesia, there are two types of registered construction company:

Badan Usaha Jasa Konstruksi Nasional

Badan Usaha Jasa Konstruksi Nasional

First is Badan Usaha Jasa Konstruksi Nasional (BUJK-N) or National Construction Services Company. This type is for domestic businessman or domestic registered company in construction field.

And the second is Badan Usaha Jasa Konstruksi PMA (BUJK-PMA) or Foreign Investment Construction Services Company. This is a joint venture between domestic construction company (BUJK-N) and foreign construction company (BUJK-A).

Both of them are required to be registered and having a permit from government via OSS-RBA (Online Single Submission-Risk Based Approach). For construction business field, it’s always on medium-low risk or medium-high risk.

So to get the construction business license (SIUJK), there are some document you need to apply for:

1. Nomor Induk Berusaha

NIB is business number identity for all company in Indonesia. It’s a basic permit document just like personal ID for the company.

2. Sertifikat Standar Terverifikasi

Sertifikat Standar Terverifikasi or Verified Standart Certificate is the final document you need to obtain in OSS-RBA. 

In order to obtain this document you need to had a SBUJK (Construction Company Certificate) first.

But to be able to apply SBUJK, your company need to apply for the several documents, such as; SKK Konstruksi (Construction Work Skill Certificate); KTA Asosiasi (Membership Card of relevant construction association); etc.

There is some step-by-step you need to do, in order to obtain the SIUJK or Construction Business License

Creating a NIB in OSS

First step you need to do is creating a NIB (Business Number Identity) in OSS for your construction company.

Having a PJTBU & PJSKBU

Next, your construction company need to have two person, one as PJTBU (Technical Responsible Person for Business Entity) and the other as PJSKBU (Responsible for Sub-classification of Business Entities).

Having an Active SKK Konstruksi

Both of PJTBU & PJSKBU should have an active and relevant SKK Konstruksi (Construction Work Skill Certificate).

Registered and Having KTA Asosiasi

Then, your company should be registered in relevant construction association. Proved by the KTA Asosiasi (Association Membership Card)

Applying The SBUJK in LSBU

Next your Construction Company can take the feasibility test at the Business Entity Certification Institute (LSBU) which is registered in LPJK to obtain SBUJK.

Obtaining Verified Standart Certificate in OSS

After having SBUJK, you can process the Standart Certificate (Sertifikat Standar) in OSS to be verified, so you will complete all the required PB UMKU as your construction business license.
